Parents

Our parents are the best.

We have found that parent involvement in our classroom benefits the learning of all students.  We not only appreciate, but encourage you to spend time helping in our classroom.  Some of the areas in which our parents interact with our students include: reading with students, helping with art projects, providing worships, coordinating cooking activities, driving for field trips and more.  If you have ideas for how you can help, just talk with our principal.

Volunteering

We are serious about keeping our students safe.  For this reason, all volunteers, whether working in the classroom or helping with field trips, are required to complete training and a background check.

For training and the background check go to Sterling Volunteers and use the following information to sign in.

  • State: California
  • Conference: Northern California
  • School Name - choose from list (you can choose more than one location, including churches)
  • The role you'll be serving as a volunteer (classroom helper, field trip chaperone, etc.)
  • All other school-related volunteer options require a DMV background check
  • Click on the green circle to begin the online training (may take up to one hour)
  • Print a certificate when completed
  • Proceed with the background check information
  • You will be notified by e-mail when the background check has been processed
